Unity was born in 1913 on a sugar farm in Zululand (South Africa) and later brought up in a large English country house. Unity will prove to be headstrong and well in advance of her time; a person who loves life and will pursue what she wants. She wants to have adventures,to dance and travel the world. At the age or 18 Unity is a jockey in south Africa and her life is changed when she wins a tote double at the races. This enables her to go to London to study dancing. Within 2 years she is dancing with the Russians and some of the best ballet companies of the time. Unity is a great 'raconteuse' who has written her autobiography giving us a tour through her varied and colourful life. There is a lot of interesting information,romances,adventures and exciting action throughout the book.
