Tony Duke is a double lung transplant recipient and Beth Campbell Duke, his wife, is his 'designated caregiver'. Tony received his transplant on May 4, 2016. Over the course of their own journey - both before and after transplant - Beth and Tony coped with a significant number of events faced by all organ transplant patients and family members: figuring out how to navigate our healthcare systems and facing the financial and mental health challenges that still too often go unseen and so unacknowledged. They've been working to develop TransplantRogues.com into a website where patients and families can find information to help them make sense of the enormous whirlwind they find themselves in. This book/workbook has evolved as they sorted out their own challenges, and watched other patients and families struggle with the massive learning curve that is an organ transplant.
