My transparency in this book will enlighten and touch you physically, emotionally and spiritually as you travel through the dark places in your life into the magnificent light. Its unique devotional / journal / reflection / response style is designed to take you straight to the heart of God, who loves you deeply, and desires for you to manifest His Kingdom and live an abundant life here in the earth. May this book be a tool in His hands and your heart for that purpose. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, I had no idea it would be one of the greatest trials I would experience in my life. During this extraordinary and painful purification process, my world was turned upside down as I learned how to walk through my own personal valley of the shadow of death (notice the word "through"). During this dark tormenting night of my soul, I often times lay in bed unable to pray, feeling abandoned and crying out to God in my affliction. For eight years I was thrust upon a dark descent that stripped me of everything; unable to see, hear, think or comprehend this impoverished state I'd been immersed into. Suddenly, in the ninth year, I began to see the light of day and my soul, by God's grace, began to experience a supernatural purifying faith. Wounded by His love, God's divine wisdom infused me with a great light, and it was then that He answered all of my lamentings. It's now been 18 years filled with 2 cancer reports, unbearable pain, numerous hospital visits, and a lifestyle of trusting, believing and resting in God who has walked with me throughout this entire journey. I've been taken to a secret place with encounters of profound love, joy and peace. At times I even pinch myself to see if this is real (smile). The works of the enemy are of no avail. Covered by grace, I am united with divine love. I am empowered with Holy Spirit gifts and I am a living miracle of the healing promises of God. I hope to encourage, motivate and inspire others who find themselves in a dark place, struggling and needing comfort and clarity as they endure the pain, affliction and torment of sickness and disease. I have found Him in His fullness and it is my heart's desire to share my story with others so that they too can be healed and made whole.
