Eddie Coombs has three problems: Personal tragedy through the death of his parents; mystery as the result of an unusual adoption into a family whose father was involved in the nuclear arms race; and, a love/hate relationship with the two beautiful daughters of his benefactor. This love/hate relationship found no resolution until they were all working together as young adults in the family business. Delores (DeeDee) Freund, Eddie's first true love (and, yes, the youngest daughter of his benefactor), has fallen in love with a boy whom she later discovers to be, well, nothing at all like she hoped he would be. But, is it too late to confess her change of attitude and, perhaps, love for her adopted brother, now that she is a free woman again? Jessica Freund, the other adopted member of the family, three years older than Eddie and DeeDee, has no idea that her life as a young, naval officer is about to change. When DeeDee, unintentionally, puts Jessica and Eddie in a situation that is the perfect breeding ground for love to grow, should she confess her love for Eddie before it's too late? If Jessica had known of DeeDee's feelings for Eddie, would she have realized that Eddie was the man she had been looking for, the man she was saving herself for? Choosing to join the family business, instead of the easy life of the spoiled rich adults, a love triangle has developed.
