Heavy Hearts Jonathan Lamar Boyd

I'm Jonathan Lamar Boyd, a developing writer/poet out of New York City. I seek to share my experience with those who can not only relate to the struggles of living in the city as a Black male of the African diaspora but to provide people with a perception of authenticity. In my poetic expressions I share different aspects of my life and how the lessons of Earth continue to shape me. Some of the material I've written is expressed in a philosophical and or psychological manner, consisting of my innermost deepest thoughts while surviving the city streets. I want to live a life devoted to inspiring others. I believe in order to change the world, you have to allow others to first change themselves. I also believe that sparking thoughts within the mind and connecting to the rhythms of heart can truly assist with steering the world into becoming more harmonious. This book is the first of my poetic symphony's release beyond my social media postings and it's just a taste of what's to come next.
