(This is a paranormal short story. The first part of this story appeared in Stormy Glenn's Winter ManLove Fantasies Blog Competition of 2018.) Casper Romano has lived a hard life. After being kicked out of his house for something that wasn't his fault, he ended up homeless and living on the streets. Until one day, his luck changed. Suddenly, Casper finds himself thrust into a life of luxury, but all isn't as it seems. During his time on the streets, Casper has seen things, things most people would find unbelievable and when someone from his past pops back into his life, Casper will need to lean on those unbelievable things if he wants to survive. Griffin Abrecan is a panther shifter and a forest ranger who lives a simple but fulfilling life. After being verbally abused by someone he thought loved him, he vows never to have a relationship with that kind of person again. One day, he and his coworkers are offered an opportunity to work as forest guides for a brand-new resort. However, Griffin doesn't expect to find his mate in the form of his new boss, the kind of man he vowed never to engage in a relationship with again. Griffin has to put his past in the past if he wants to have a happy life. Casper needs someone to help keep him safe from those who would do him harm if it meant getting something from him. Can these two overcome the obstacles ahead or will it be too much for their relationship to handle? (Warning: Contains sexual content and explicit language.
