Mona is a young, recent college graduate who has had her fair share of unfortunate experiences. After finding out her boyfriend had been unfaithful with an associate from school, Mona drives to Dayton, Ohio to live with an old friend, Terri. Terri's cold-hearted ways and irresponsibility quickly take their toll on Mona's peace of mind, leaving Mona to wonder why she moved to Ohio in the first place. One day she meets a handsome stranger with a majestic aura about him that starts Mona off on an adventure of the heart. Little does she know, at first, her love interest is involved in the street life, one type of man Mona always said she'd stay away from. Soon enough, she is far too involved to walk away. After Sterling decides to walk away from the street life forever, the two of them take their relationship to a next level and even start a business while he attends classes at the local college for business management. Just as Mona is getting settled into her recently found fairy-tale life, a strange turn of events threatens to steal from her the one thing she has grown to love so dearly.
