Two Sides Of A Cell Serene

When we were young, we were told that jail was for the bad guys and we believed it. We were told that having people in jail keeps us safe. But what if I told you that all people in jail are not bad? What if I told you that they were caught up at the wrong place and the wrong time? I believe that we all are a product of our environment and its up to us to change it from bad to good or good to better. We speak what we were taught and respond to what occurs and I felt it was time for a change. I wanted to influence others just like i was influenced so I decided to share my story the best way I can and that is through poetry. Two Sides of a Cell is MY STORY. Its how I think, how I feel, and how I want to help others deal with personal trauma dealing with their incarcerated loved one.
