Four years in the Marines, forty years as a pastor, and many years of fighting ill health has all come together to help e be able to say a word that just may be uplifting to you as you face the valleys of your life. There have been times when I was scared beyond belief, especially in Vietnam, times when I felt all alone, and times when I thought I would die if I closed my eyes. Somehow through a gentle touch from my family and my Lord, I was able to affirm that no matter what happens - eyes closed or wide open - I was in the gentle arms of God... and God would not let anything take me from him. It reminded my of the words of Pul I have prayed every Sunday from the pulpits of my churches.."For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" ( Romans 8:38-39). I pray this spiritual journey will uplift your spirit and set you high upon a rock of faith.
