Williams took every person in the black community whom influences him on a daily basis and created a template for his readers. The book was made when the author was going through his hardest of times. Dealing with losses in his family, unemployment, hardships in his marriage, and times of depression. He took the good with the bad, and began writing down all of his heroes who helped him keep his head high. Studying their quotes, and actions wondering how they reached their plateaus in success.
