Take a journey with me as I go from high school to Parris Island to escape home with my best friend, only to return eight years later to bury him. I will take you through that eight-year period as I give you a first-person view of what it is like to attend United States Marine Corps recruit training, the Fleet Marine Force, 9/11, and the invasion of Iraq. I will explain what it is like in the minds of Marines and why we do what we do, and the struggles therein when we return home. It allows the conversation to take place with PTSD veterans and their family and friends that would have not been able to take place before. There is a bit of a love story there as well. You may not laugh, you might not cry, but you will be moved.
