I wrote this book because when I got my first Community College Continuing Education teaching gig I didn't know where to turn to get help. I'd never taught in a classroom before and was terrified about screwing up. I got a lot of support from my College but there was a gap in practical advice and help in how to teach. After 2 years, 6 courses and 90%+ Student approval ratings, I developed a teaching system for people like me: Working full time, teaching part time, with no previous experience. The 'Side Hustle' is in the news. Older workers in a volatile economy looking to supplement our incomes as we move into semi-retirement years. We're not ready to retire yet...maybe we'll never retire. In any case Part time teaching is great way to make the transition. Plus, teaching Adults enrolled in Continuing Education programs is very rewarding.
