Viv is a wife, mother and teacher, who breaks down in front of her students. Feeling intense shame and fear, she escapes not knowing what direction to take. Finding herself at the edge of the ocean, she meets Gabe, who becomes a fast friend and someone she can easily be open with. Memories of her upbringing and relationship with Qu, her husband, give her more clues into who she has become. Amidst her self-rediscovery however, she is faced with a devastating loss that threatens to push her over the edge.


Enter Viv's mind as she grapples with the challenges of existing in one country, yet centered by a people of another.


Will she return to what is familiar or continue to yield to something bigger?
