Remi Sterling is afraid to fall asleep. Since the age of five, a nightmare about a soldier, a hole in the ground, and the feeling of being surrounded by an evil darkness has haunted her. It always gave her an eerie feeling that she has some sort of strange connection with the afterlife.
When her husband Brock finds a better paying job in another town, he convinces Remi to uproot the family and move to Cedarville. But when Remi arrives at the new house, she gets a feeling of deja vu. And when she steps foot onto the property, flashbacks of her dream begin to occur. Now, she sees the hole in the ground as a grave.
