Pockets of Insight was written as a tribute and in recognition of the perceptive remarks of writers, philosophers and ordinary citizens who wanted to share their understanding of human nature with those around them. Although, many of their assertions are no longer a part of our daily chatter, they continue to provoke our imagination.
Many of their intriguing observations were nestled among contextually similar narratives, stories and rhetoric. Occasionally, light humor was sprinkled into the mix, to lighten the mood. The result, a blend of plainspoken, compelling essays capable of teaching, touching, and tickling. It may take only a few minutes to read each of the 91 topics covered in the book. Subjects are broad and varied. You will find snippets on the workplace, sickness and health, personal relationships, religion, politics ...and others.
Many sport fans may not have the time nor opportunity to relax and watch an event or game from beginning to end, but they are always interested in knowing the score. The score gives them a whole lot of information in just in a few words. Pockets of Insight aspires to do the same and a wee bit more...!
