Leadership studies over the past hundred years show a failure of researchers to connect leadership philosophy to behavioral psychology; likewise, the psychology of leadership has not been a prominent focus of behavioral psychology. The research discussed in this book presents a theory of leader behavior that combines both behavioral psychology and leadership studies into a basic expression that is simple and useful to leaders in the field.
