The Desert Store- The Red Cactus orphanage, is book #5 in the continuing series about an unusual desert store in New Mexico. Once a little white wood church built in the center of a small healing energy vortex over 100 years ago, the desert store draws both healers and odd others to live there. GAs, groceries, and healings in disguise are offered out in the middle of nowhere.

Cowboy Johnson and Mama who we met in book one, are now gone. Normaine, Eddy, the three Mafia sisters, Celia, Emma and William once lived at the store. In this ongoing sequel, Timmon, orphaned at ten by his evil family, lives at the store and has taken its ownership over. Timmon is Sighted as is his mother. He has learned many ways to combat the evils perpetrated by his mother and sisters, who live with evil Vance Romaine and his followers who hate the Goodness the store emits, and its healers. They try to destroy the store, but the psychic forces of some powerful people were called into battle and a different plan emerges for the store, thanks to Susan, Lana, Matthew, and Perry, who fought the Good, but completely unexpected- fight side by side with Timmon and won.
