Ash Stampford may have lost her swimming title and place as valedictorian first trimester, but second trimester is off to a better start. Her secret crush, Paul, is now her boyfriend and they sign up to run the Spring Fling 5K together. Plus, Dylan is out of Ash's life for good, and she still has a chance to win a scholarship to her dream college.




Hurdles soon appear in Ash's path. Dylan starts to work with Ash, complicating her relationship with Paul. Bridgette, Paul's best friend, is determined to win the 5K and claim the winner's kiss from Paul and his affections. Plagued with insecurity and with all her plans falling apart again, Ash finds herself running in circles, unable to get on another track. But Ash won't let anyone stand in her way, and she makes a risky bet to hold on to Paul until the finish line.
