Motherhood often feels like a season of invisibility and futility. There's always more to be learned, taught, cooked, cleaned, hugged, organized, and disciplined; the dishes and laundry are never done. And somebody, so help us, keeps leaving the markers out for the toddler to find. Staying caught up is impossible. Does anyone even notice what we're doing?

Yes. Someone is noticing every detail - every wiped counter, every wiped nose, every moment of feeling inept and ineffective and overwhelmed and overrun. God sees.
