In the Inner Arts all healing is done through the heart bringing heart-consciousness to the injury, trauma, hole, void, schema or miasma, which are cut off areas that are shying away from the light of unity. Deep or active listening is a matter of fair-witness interoception by the inner senses of the body, rather than the confrontational, dismissive, divisive listening of the ego shell. By turning the light around and loving through the shame and blame in our central judicial center (Anterior Cingulate Cortex), we can come into the fullness of our physical, mental and spiritual capacities and change the course of our lives for the greatest good. Subtle body awareness of our inner sensory signals such as the heartbeat, distress, chasms, tensions and pains leads to emotional awareness and self-knowledge.
