He's the only thing standing between the Lair and extinction and through the danger to Tempest he could lose his life. The Mistress is pissed and she's coming in ready to shoot. No pressure... This novel is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. There are some unresolved plot threads. The HEA is a long-term build up although there are sexy times in the novel.
