The idea of using stories to explain moral concepts is probably as old as human vocabulary itself. Stories, not rules or arguments, are what carry values from generation to generation. They both establish and explain the core of what a society is. Because of this power, stories have long been used to explain concepts in the Torah. However, to modern ears many such stories are foreign; either their concepts are unfamiliar or their styles fail to grip the modern conscious. This book provides a new set of modern, relatable and engaging stories. They cross many genres and are meant to engage many different kinds of people. I know that writing them has left me with a far stronger understanding of the Torah, of humanity and of the world that surrounds us. Perhaps you, the reader, can find that same understanding. And, perhaps, these stories will also strengthen your relationship to G-d and your understanding of our place in the world.
