Following on from Book Four ('Street Kids') of the Aussie Kids Adventure series, the celestial visitors are in trouble again in Book Five and need the mob's help. Meg has realised that her return to the Mission was a mistake and returned to live with her city cousin again only to find herself involved in a new and very different predicament. The start of the New Year also means new schools and while Su Lin and Caz are starting Year 8 in private schools; Andy, Meg and Jenna must attend the local government high school. It was always bound to be a time of change for them all but they are not prepared at just how significant those personal changes turn out to be. To add to their concerns, an unknown criminal element is poisoning the alien's tunnels and, despite their advanced technology, they need the children's help again. Unless the source of the pollution is found they will start to die before they can return to their home planet. The mob needs to get back together and find the source of the pollution which brings them once again up against the Rapper Gang. Despite the wonky start to their teen years, the children soon realise that it's not just the lives of their alien friends that they have to protect.
