Only through my eyes is an urban non fiction book that tells the story of my life. This novel touches the base on abandonment, betrayal, and abuse. It is very possible to overcome any trial or tribulation that is set forth in your path. I stayed strong through it all, but I made so many mistakes along the way. Being abandoned by my mom at just twelve years old, and abused physically, mentally, and sexually by an adult man from twelve years old, was a very hard pill to swallow. No child ever thinks that they we will come home an the very parent they thought would always be there to protect them, would be gone hundreds of mile away. Leaving your child should not ever be an option, but in my story it was. Sometimes family can be your worse enemy and even the man you sleep with.
