It has been a long time since anyone has entered my home. The sounds outside have stirred me from my favorite spot overlooking the water. Big trucks arriving with men who proceed to take down my enclosed fortress of solitude. The fences that keep everyone away removed, one by one. I watch as half a dozen or so men, walk the perimeter of my house checking the structure. I could have told them, the Manor was in perfect condition, but of course, I was never asked. "It's time." I hear someone say. Time for what? I wonder. I continue to watch from the top window. They began towards the front door. One by one, they climb the steps. I am not sure about this. Do I want them invading my home? I hear a key in the door, and then they are inside. I wait in silence, knowing what they are about to see. Knowing what they are about to find. Then it came. A scream. Now they will find out that it has not been 60 years since anyone has entered my home, it has only been 35.
