Welcome to the eclectic world of Flow Painting, also known as Fluid Art and Acrylic Pouring! Flow Painting can be a therapeutic and rewarding form of art for almost anyone from any background. If you enjoy crafts and DIY projects but have never formally studied Color Theory, Drawing, or Design, don't worry - you CAN do this! Fluid Art is mesmerizing to watch and endlessly entertaining to experiment with, but it can also look deceptively simple to execute. Everything that follows comes from my own practice, experiments, and personal experiences. Those are based not only on developing my own body of work, but also from teaching Flow Painting Classes and developing my own unique high-quality line of Primal Flow Pre-Mixed Acrylic Pouring Paints. What I've included here is based on what I've found that works for my students and I, regardless of their level of experience or artistic background.
