Michael Martino's life couldn't be any better--or worse. The brilliant young physician from New York, with his career in front of him, is suddenly faced with his wife Tina's cancer and the need to abort their longed for baby girl, leaving an impenetrable wall between them. Desperate to restore their once idyllic relationship, Michael flies off to practice in Hawaii, apparently abandoning his beloved wife, but in reality hoping she will realize that she still loves him and will follow him.
