I started swimming when I was five years old. Part of learning to swim for me was being thrown in the deep end by the swim team coach. He threw me in and told me to swim. I was so scared, but I did swim! I never quite got over that experience of being tossed in the pool, but I did become a pool rat. I love the water. Always have. Always will. Last year, I decided I would I chose to become a lifeguard ... again! And yes, at my age! I'm proud of myself for becoming a lifeguard again. It has really turned my sadness around (from losing my Dad), not to mention I work with some great people and now I get paid to swim (on breaks)! Join me on my journey of becoming a lifeguard again as a Mom!
