Seventeen-year-old Rachel has had a hard life. After the sudden death of her father, she was forced to grow up fast, taking care of her younger sister and her drug dependent mother. Her main focus was to finish high school, and to make enough money from her job at the Burger Shack to pay the bills. And then she meets Sam, and everything changes. He shows her that life can be more than work and school, and suddenly the safe wall she'd built around herself begins to crumble. But there is something mysterious about Sam, and as she begins to unravel the truth about him, will it be enough to tear them apart forever?
