"Fatherlessness" can cause a child to grow up with mixed feelings of abandonment, rejection and despair. In this "Dear Dad" book, Shy takes you through the journey of a child (and her own childhood) as she was left to pilot through the brokenness of life to find her identity and inner wholeness. Without the guidance of her father or a road map to follow, Shy Cobb has navigated through self-hate, disappointments, and the pain of being negatively defined by others, and shares the transparency of her life in hopes of reaching a generation of "fatherless" children It is my prayer that my journey will inspire fathers and their children to get on a path to healing and reconciliation. The child refers to sons and daughters of any age who have experienced the abandonment and neglect of their father. I pray that this book will start a movement of restoration which leads to complete healing and wholeness.
