Thomas Seebeck Daniel Foty

Thomas Seebeck is best-known for his pioneering work in thermoelectricity. However, Seebeck made numerous, lesser-known - but important - contributions in a number of fields. It is also little-known that Seebeck was born and raised in Reval - today's Tallinn, Estonia. As a result, the Department of Electronics at the Tallinn University of Technology is now known as the Thomas Seebeck Department of Electronics. In this short book, Daniel Foty details the life and science of Thomas Seebeck. This includes a brief biographical sketch, the prior state of the fields of Seebeck's work, Seebeck's scientific work, and the surprisingly far-flung legacy that has followed from Seebeck's work.
