Ayanna is a metallurgist who has been plucked from her hard-earned job to help investigate something found in the Iraqi desert. She is the last scientist to be brought in for a look at an impossible object foundbecause of conflict, andfurther exposed at the cost of many lives. As Ayanna's knowledge of the object grows an event begins taking place around the world which causes Ayanna to put her faith in the most unlikely of ideas to save her life and the lives of her new friends.
