Trust is earned over time. Seldom is trust bestowed. It is almost without exception, the results of real precedents, real actions. Trust and general morality. Across all ages, human existence has produced general ideas of what is moral and what is immoral. While there are certainly times when "rules" and "laws" have to be modified to meet the demands of specific situations, the general rules of human conduct, respect, and decency that have been established are predominately helpful and have good outcomes in mind. When trust is broken: It is almost unrealistic to think that there would not be times when trust will be broken. Some people are able to forgive, but they may never forget the betrayal because something tied to the breach in the trust relationship hangs back there in the recesses of our minds forever!
