Iceland Alight is a photo book that explores the raw beauty of Iceland's extraordinary landscapes through striking images by photographer Jim Kayalar. Iceland is home to some of the most dramatic scenery in the world. The book showcases a land of ice and fire, the unique Icelandic topography shaped by fundamental geological processes: lava flows from volcanoes that in time allowed life like moss to take hold, glacier melt that burnt the landscape as it receded. Rain, rivers and waterfalls that carved deep pathways in the earth's surface, coastal Igneous, Metamorphic and Sedimentary Rock formations that resulted in striking shapes and patterns. The book is full of gorgeous photos that capture Iceland's magical landscapes - lakes, waterfalls, oceanscapes, mountains, farms, villages, horses, lighthouses...
