a compilation of poems focusing on love, loss, and recovery. i've yet to make friends with the demons inside me. they insist on battle instead, offering me the sad semblance of a choice. she screeches that i'm not good enough. he threatens to never leave. they hang a black cloud over me. and fill me with the chatter of insecurities. they dare me to live like this. to go on as if nothing is wrong. sometimes i win. and their voices mean nothing. nothing is wrong, and my life is a ghost of "how it's supposed to be." sometimes i am not so lucky. and i wonder why i still fight. it gets tiresome, to be locked in constant turmoil. but i can still say i haven't lost the war. even though i've suffered many stumbles. and that's good enough for me.
