Although it is Christmas, Andre has decided to leave his family. He is done with marriage and the family life. As he shares his decision with his wife Lisa, their daughter Nina overhears them arguing about his impending departure. As Andre prepares to leave, he comes face to face with his daughter. Upon seeing her tear-streaked face, he realizes that she knows. He reaches for her, but she cannot bear the thought and runs away. For Nina, it had been a typical day for her. It was the weekend, and she and her friends were preparing for the church's annual Christmas recital. Rehearsals were going very well. There was something special about the song that they had chosen for their praise dance. It was as if it burned in Nina's heart. She knew it was significant, but she was not sure why until the world she knew was shattered. She was beyond devastated. Her father was leaving. Walking through the city streets overcome by emotion, Nina is unaware of the danger that lurks. As she passes a street corner, the angel Gabriel, disguised as a man, warns her to be careful. She turns to look at the man, noticing a difference about him, but she's not quite sure what it is that's different. Before she has time to pinpoint the difference, she hears her father call her name. He has chased after her. When she sees him approaching, she blindly steps into the street. Her father jumps to save her. The last thing they see is the car lights. When Andre and Nina awaken, they find themselves in heaven surrounded by some interesting beings ready to help them save their family.
