This is not a single story. This novel includes five stories of five different characters, dreams, style of living. All of them are Muslims, but they are experiencing their faith in different perspectives. how do they learn to cope? how do they understand the other culture and respond to controversial questions arousing around their faith and identity? One of them is a converted American Muslim, the second one is a Syrian refugee came to America hoping for a better life after losing her beloved daughter, The reminder trio is Egyptians, who came to America with different dreams, cultures, and ways of thinking. Nora is an Egyptian master student who got a scholarship at Stanford University, Dalia who was born, lived and got married in America and her life got so challenging after begetting her autistic son, and Hanaa who came with her husband who is currently working for a reputable American company and she is really having a hard time adapting to her new lifestyle due to her poor English language skills.
