When Donna Reilly's husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, she willingly accepted the role of his caregiver, knowing it would be difficult. But she wasn't prepared for the enormity of the job or the disruption of their lives as the disease progressed. She watched the person she loved turn into someone she no longer recognized, and gradually began to fear that Alzheimer's would destroy both of them. This book is her attempt to help caregivers avoid some of the pitfalls that go with the job by suggesting ways to get around them.
