Written over the course of five years, this debut collection chronicles the journeys of a wide variety of characters and moments that impact their lives in profound ways. These colorful characters - young and old, mortal and otherworldly- push against the various barriers they encounter: political resistance in the face of an oppressive ruler, a final day for humanity on earth, a bridging of cultural differences, the tension between art and technology... Throughout these stories, a sense of mystery and adventure pervades and propels the characters to unexpected realizations about themselves and their place in the universe. Amrita Kaur Bhasin resides in Menlo Park, California. She is a passionate and award-winning writer who has published poetry, nonfiction and short fiction. She enjoys traveling, filmmaking, computer programming, acrylic painting and photography in her spare time. Amrita is working on a novel about her experiences growing up in Silicon Valley that she hopes to publish in the near future.
