Submarines can be a very lonely place; metal tubes slightly longer than a football field, sailing in the vast water of the world's oceans. The sub spends nearly ninety percent of its time, submerged in a darken abyss. Mix in the 'pleasure' of having a skeleton crew, a world conflict going on, sparse communications, and electrical problems near the ocean floor, life aboard is fraught with suspense; truly 'Alone at Sea'. Survival depends on luck and determination. The outcome, however, remains uncertain.
