Jayden's Mission: Break through Avery's concrete barriers. Avery's Mission: Keep Jayden at bay to maintain her control. It's been a lot of years since Avery was traumatized brutally by the foster care system. Despite how long it's been, she still can't let go of the damage that was done. Only now is some distant part of her considering that there could possibly be more. The larger part of her is terrified that she could lose her well-ordered control, and ruin all of the hard work she's put into being human again. Jayden knows that Avery underestimates herself. He's determined that if she pushes herself even a little more she would be surprised what she could do. Unfortunately, he also knows that if his plan fails she could take off again - This time for good. He can't take being so close and yet so far away anymore though. With Jayden's patience wearing thin, he'll have to convince Avery to put down her walls and see him as a lover instead of a friend. She'll fight him tooth and nail in her conviction that there isn't anything more she can do. For the first time they'll face a battle together that doesn't involve HGS.
