Memoirs can open the eyes of many, the hearts of a few, or a single soul in search of common ground. A memoir is a story based on memory, and Humanity encompasses the memory of a woman born in the fifties, raised by Native American Medicine women, and trained to examine her mind, body, and spirit. Her home was a cemetery, her training was the Marine Corps, and her mantra was Love is my religion, the Earth is my church, and Truth is my road. She became The keeper of the Children, but this is not a woman's book, it's a story that touches all the parts of us we should examine in our own lives so we know we truly lived. Volumes one and two bring the reader to the final phase in a life filled with memories that can't be compared, but may, indeed, seem so familiar.
