two losers in life are fortunate to find each other and spend twelve glorious years together. a promise is given that the survivor would scatter the other's ashes on all seven continents. dan is humanoid and louie was a well-mixed dog. after his death, louie's love was strong enough that his essence was able to form a pattern that his father knew was him. they travel together to fulfill the promise. their adventures and misadventures were so memorable that dan wanted to share them with all of the friends louie had made during his years volunteering in animal shelters and spay/neuter clinics. and share them with others who understand their relationship.
