All the scriptures speak of the same message: develop Universal Love. Learn to bear insult, bear injury, be compassionate, forgive, and forget. Jesus was insulted and injured many times, but he didn't keep any grudges toward the offenders. He said that they are ignorant, they don't know any better. He prayed for their welfare. He forgave. These are the messages we get from source, or from within ourselves. If we can keep these messages and apply them to our lives, then we can truly understand the message of Christ and be raised to his level. In order to celebrate these messages, we must remind ourselves of them. In celebrating every saint, we should not just remember them and their teachings, but apply them in our lives. Unconditional Love, Universal Love. Love everybody equally, let there be no discrimina- tion between friend and foe. This divine spark is everywhere, in everything. You don't really see this divine spark until you realize that the divine spark exists in you. This is what is meant by "Know thyself first." Know thy Self. Know your true Self, your real entity. You are the pure Self. Once you realize this, your own true nature, you will have acquired a different vision, a different eye to see with. Your vision will no longer be obstructed by superficial differences. From the knowledge of the Self, you are able to recognize the Self in all.
