This arrangement, for trombone quintet (or euphoniums and tuba), is scored for high school and above advanced-level players for use in both secular and sacred settings. It is also designed to be performed by a trombone choir. Playing in an ensemble provides musicians with the opportunity to experience the benefits of a group effort not found in solo work. This rendition of America the Beautiful is arranged so that all the parts, not just the first trombone (or lead part), therefore distributing the demands for the success of the group to everyone.
