Words in an Izzi Rainey Notebook Christopher Sanderson

The notebook was bought in the Orkneys; either in Stromness or Kirkwall, I don't rightly remember. We were there for a week on a Linklater Voice course, followed by a weeks vacation, based at Puffin Quoy at Houton, overlooking Scapa Flow. Would the words I wrote reflect the notebook, and the location for the beginning of the words, would that effect tail off as I returned home. I did feel a duty to the book, and the place. Puffin Quoy was a wonderful base for exploration, as well as a good place just to be, although I was disappointed to lose repeatedly to Kate at Boules. It seems a long time ago, in fact it is only two months, two months of almost continuous good weather, like our day behind the Orkney Museum, opposite George Mackay Brown's old house. I hope you enjoy the reading as I have enjoyed the writing.
