A Gentle Heart Vivian Rose Lee

A Gentle HeartJared Grant, star quarterback for the Philadelphia Stallions, was unsure when his life started to spiral out of control. On suspension from the hometown championship team and position he'd coveted as a child, time was running out to reverse the path he'd chosen. His blind devotion to the beautiful woman at his side had alienated his family and ruined his reputation with his team and adoring fans. Keeping her happy was draining the life out of him, but he loved Annette, didn't he? Jared knew he had to end the relationship to save any chance of returning to his beloved team. Robin Dillon was the prudish and always professional personal assistant to one of Jared's team owners. Juggling problems brought on by her widowed father's abandonment, she was saddled with caring for an elderly relative, while funding the education of twin siblings at an Ivy League college. Secretly every weekend, Robin found herself on stage performing to ease the financial strain. While partying with friends at a popular night spot, Jared was shocked to discover the mousy PA was actually a talented performer hiding her beauty beneath all the dowdiness. Swearing to keep her secret from their employers, they soon became close friends. Robin eagerly professed her love and within hours watched him return to the arms of the woman intent on destroying him and the Stallions. Will he be able to thwart the destruction of his team and family when a vengeful blackmail plot is revealed? Will Robin be able to trust Jared's family and her employers after learning they'd orchestrated her betrayal?
