She'd seen it coming. Ever since Harold Westlake had made his announcement that he would be running for President, Kitty had been trying to warn her friends and teachers just how bad things were going to get. And yet, no one was doing anything about it. No matter how much she sounded the alarm, everyone kept telling her to just believe that things would work out. But things wouldn't just work out. Kitty knew this, even if everyone else had collectively decided to stick their heads in the sand. The evidence was there and couldn't possibly be clearer. There was a war coming for the fey, and Kitty knew that if they stood any kind of a chance of surviving, she would have to do something to stop it herself.
