Simply put, "Take The Game & Run" is about a father introducing himself to his son in a transparent, and much needed way. I am using the gift of hindsight in a generation where the "Blind Leads The Blind," to give my son 20/20 vision on this game called life. My aim is to bridge the gap between my son and I using my flaws, mistakes, and ultimately growth to serve as a sort of navigation as he walks the many roads that life will undoubtedly present to him. In a world full of absent fathers, I had a burning desire to open my heart, and reach out to my son, and others who might find themselves in the same unfortunate position. The "culture and affect" change begins with us as men being aware, accountable, and taking responsibility for our lack of, and the consciousness of the minds we are influencing. Our sons looking to us as an example has steered a generation of youth towards a life of destruction. Guide... Protect... Love... Challenge... Position... These are simple words with heavy meaning, and a basis for the role we as fathers should play in the lives of the sons we created. "Take The Game & Run" is the culmination of jewels, grapes, and game I accumulated, and now giving to my son. A "guiding light" in book form. What separates success from failure is a state of mind so, if we change our state of our mind we can teach our sons to shine. Build Bridges & Make Power Moves...
