The Blood Sky Incident... An event known the world over as the day the skies over the world turned as red as blood and brought forth ten legions of demons and ten legions of angels into the world of man. Wasting little time, the demons entering the world quickly attempted to blend in with humanity while the angels who entered the world went out of their way to stand out and immediately declare that they are here to save humanity. They enter into an agreement with the Vatican to quickly make the world of man as inhospitable as possible in order to drive the demons who entered the world with them into hiding. In the meantime, the Heavenly Host's Gen. Ballaton has not only dispatched a new foe in the form of Col. Mattia of Zion, but Mattia is accompanied by a cell of Vatican agents who waste little time launching a new campaign against the group of friends designed to sway public favor away from them and vilify them once more. However, as Dex and Ed quickly learn, there are no depths that Mattia and her human cabal will not hesitate to sink to in order to destroy the haven that Stygian Heights has become, or the people associated with it.
